THE SHORT-TERM MODEL BELIEVES THE TREND IS UP HOLDING NO POSITION OVERNIGHT

Key day tomorrow as now you all know a red Non Farm Payroll day most likely means a reversal which in our current case means a top. However since we’ve had 6 red Non Farm Payroll days in a row, I really don’t think we’d see another red Non Farm Payroll day tomorrow.

Neither long nor short setup were confirmed today, but Cobra Impulse System would like to give both setups another try. See below for more details.

I think the market will at least challenge the 200 day ma before entering a mild correction.. so next stop which can come as soon as tomorrow is 1265, 1275 or 1292 on an extended wave.

Nice consolidation both in Europe and the U.S. I think. We’ll have to wait and see of course, but I think overall upside momentum is currently stronger than downside (from the Zweig Breadth Thrust till now). One thing I think is fairly probable, and that is that we should have an answer pretty soon. Small move on the NYMO again.

VIX was lower again and is starting to push the lower Boll lower on the daily.

History of non-printing interventions is very pronounced yet short-lived effect.

Fed started QE2 (via Bernanke hint) with oil just below $80/barrel and S&P sub-1100. At their meeting last month, oil was at $95/barrel and the S&P was at 1190 and they did nothing. Oil is currently $100/barrel and S&P at 1250.  Suggests the Fed will not QE at next meeting.

    ECB lowering interest rates?  Probably.

EU Dec 9th meeting resolving EU debt crisis or coming up with any realistic ideas?  Highly doubtful.
